Acceptance of these terms

By accessing our website, applying for a programme, registering for an event, downloading a resource, or contacting Design Innovation Program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services. We may update these terms from time to time, and the updated version will apply from the date it is published on this page.

02

Who we are

Design Innovation Program, also referred to as DIP, provides design thinking education, entrepreneurship programming, events, resources, and partner initiatives rooted in Kenya and the wider East African innovation ecosystem.

References to "we", "our", or "us" mean Design Innovation Program. References to "you" mean the person using the website or engaging with our services.

03

Using our website and services

You agree to use the website and our services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not damage, disable, overload, or impair our systems or interfere with another person's use of them.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, accounts, forms, databases, or connected services. You are responsible for making sure the information you submit to us is accurate, current, and complete.

04

Applications, programmes, and events

Programme applications, event registrations, workshop invitations, and partner opportunities may be subject to eligibility criteria, review processes, capacity limits, deadlines, and additional instructions shared at the point of registration.

Submitting an application or registration does not guarantee acceptance, attendance, funding, certification, partnership, or any specific outcome. We may change programme details, speakers, dates, locations, formats, or availability when reasonably necessary.

05

Payments, fees, and refunds

Where a programme, event, product, or service has a fee, the applicable amount and payment terms will be shown or communicated before payment is requested.

Refunds, transfers, or cancellations may depend on the specific programme or event terms communicated at the time of registration. If no specific refund terms are provided, requests will be reviewed at our discretion.

06

Intellectual property

The website, brand assets, programme materials, text, graphics, photos, videos, downloads, and other content made available by DIP are owned by us or used with permission, unless stated otherwise.

You may use our content for personal, educational, or internal reference purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, publish, modify, or distribute our content for commercial use without written permission from Design Innovation Program.

07

Content you submit

When you submit information, applications, stories, testimonials, photos, feedback, or other materials to us, you confirm that you have the right to share that content and that it does not infringe another person's rights.

You allow us to use submitted content as needed to review applications, deliver services, manage events, communicate with you, improve our work, and, where you have given permission, share stories or testimonials publicly.

08

Third-party links and tools

Our website may link to third-party websites, forms, social media platforms, payment providers, video platforms, newsletters, or other external services. These services are not controlled by DIP.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, security, or terms of third-party services. You should review the applicable terms and policies before using them.

09

Privacy

We collect and use personal information to operate the website, respond to inquiries, manage applications and registrations, deliver programmes, and improve our services.

Where applicable, additional privacy details may be provided in a Privacy Policy or in the forms and tools used to collect your information.

10

No guaranteed results

Our programmes, events, resources, and advisory materials are designed to support learning, creativity, venture development, and community building. They do not guarantee business success, investment, employment, academic admission, legal compliance, or any particular personal or commercial result.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, implementation, business operations, and professional advice needs.

11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Design Innovation Program will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website, programmes, events, resources, or third-party services linked from our website.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12

Changes, suspension, and termination

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the website or our services at any time. We may also suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or where continued access may create risk for DIP, our community, or our partners.

Sections of these terms that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.

13

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, unless another mandatory law applies. Any disputes should first be raised with us in good faith so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
